Yay! Made it all the way through the first month of the year. This is just a small part of my record collection but a pretty darn good section which includes Ramones, Radiohead, Replacements, Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Social Distortion, and Sonic Youth.
Not much to say about this one. It is a bokeh with a tree and a tree in the background.
I am sick today so all I got is a shot of a Buddha head in my living room that I messed with in PS.
Some unique graffiti I found in an alley by where I work.
It is 8:30 at night and I am wandering around the house trying to find my picture for today. My lovely wife is a therapist and I spy a bunch of her books and a Sigmund Freud bobbly head. Problem solved...at least for today.
I was taking a photo of the red chair for Flickr's Project 366-1 theme of the week "simply red". My creative director, Colonel Mustard, felt that the shot would look better with him in it so he jumped up on the chair. He was definitely right.
Not the greatest photo but I only had 10 minutes to take a shot before my airport shuttle arrived.
Another great statue. There are many statues that are half something and half something else.
The entrance is the more famous side of the Notre Dame but the backside is just as beautiful. It is also unpopulated so it is easier to get a good picture.
There are many great statues in Paris. I decided on this one because I found it odd. The man is sitting on a lion that he is slaying while his naked son looks off in the distance oblivious to what his father is doing.
I have been in Paris for the last five days and am just catching up on the blog. I had meetings all day Wed - Friday so had to do my best in the early morning or right before sunset. One of my favorite things in Paris are the old Metropolitain signs.
Today is a great and historical day for America, the world, and most importantly for the future of my children.
I was running out of daylight again. I took a quick ride over to Crab Cove in Alameda just in time for a beautiful sunset.
The beautiful Ms. Hannah George.
I am trying to work on my Photoshop skills or rather lack of.
I took a little walk at lunch today and took this picture which is a little different perspective of the Bay Bridge.
This turned out to be a very difficult photo and took more shots than I care to mention. First I had tape the thing down so it wouldn't roll across the table while making sure the tassels would still move. Then I had to wind it, quickly grab the camera, focus, and hope the tassels moved quickly enough to look cool. All the while keeping Frankie from taking her toy back.
I was walking back to my car after an appointment and looked up to see the TransAmerica building peeking through two other buildings.
This was the last leaf left on the tree.
I love street photography and am starting to get over the fear of capturing shots of strangers leading their daily lives. Wussed out a bit on this one as the gentleman in the shot was sleeping.
I was running out of daylight and was lucky to catch this beautiful sunset in Alameda.
There are lots of interesting photo opportunities at the old Alameda Navy base including this one. I have no idea what purpose this building may have had in the past but it is abandoned now.
Nothing from the day turned out well so I took this night shot and tried practicing some Photoshop things. Obviously, a bit more practice needed.
It's Bokeh Wednesday on Flickr's group "Project 366-1" so I shot this for today's photo.
I didn't bring the camera with me to work today so had to find something interesting around the house.
I did some raking today with my assistant Frankie.
This rocking horse was an innocent victim of our recent house cleaning to fit three kids in two bedrooms. It's only fault was the chocolate that was mysteriously found rubbed on it's hind quarters.
One of Frankie's many arrangements of her babies being put to bed.
